Shiverthorn can be collected from the game world from 
Shiverthorn (Plant)'s, which can be found starting on Level 3 - Storage. While there is a lot of Shiverthorn (Plant) to be found in the game world, they are non-renewable - a production cycle via 
Planter's will be needed for longer term, larger scale production.
Unlocking[]
No technology is required to harvest Shiverthorn from Shiverthorn (Plant)'s in the game world. To grow from 
Shiverthorn Seed requires unlocking the Planter technology (synthesis - PT LIMA - T4 - planter) and the Shiverthorn Processing technology (PT Victor - T1 - Shiverthorn Processing)
