The plants machines are the family of devices that grow and process the games usable Plants. Planters grow seeds into plants and threshers separate out the components of the grown plants.

Threshers also act as devices for breaking down more compact items in the game into their more base level components. This allows the player to create compressed items, transport them and then decompress them at their destination which can save on the number of Conveyors and Inserters required.
