Plantmatter Fiber requires researching the Kindlevine Threshing technology (synthesis.Lima.T4.Kindlevine Threshing) which costs
Research Core 380nm (Purple) (1x).
Crafting[]
While the in-game description suggests that
Plantmatter Fiber is only available from threshing
Kindlevine Stems this isn't true. It can also be obtained from threshing
Plantmatter Frame (which can be built using
Kindlevine Stems) or
Plantmatter. Neither is a desirable route however - both
Plantmatter Frames and
Plantmatter have better uses elsewhere.

Usage[]
Plantmatter Fiber is used to unlock the first tier of PT XRay. This requires
Kindlevine_Extract (100x) and
Plantmatter Fiber (100x) (PT XRAY.T1.Reinforced Frames)
While
Plantmatter Fiber can be used as a fuel for Smelting and Resource Extraction, it has a Fuel Power of 3, which is lower than
Plantmatter. In the early game,
Plantmatter Fiber is typically better used in creating
Plantmatter Frames. If needed as a fuel, it is best to unlock the
Plantmatter technology (synthesis.Victor.T2.Plantmatter) which allows assembling into
Plantmatter.
