Usage[]
The Container can be used to store gathered materials and constructed items. It has an 7 (rows) x 8 (columns) storage grid, allowing it to store a maximum of 56 stacks of materials. Products can be dropped into the Container directly from the inventory. Products can also be feed into or removed from the Container using Inserters. The Container has 8 insertion points, two on each vertical side, for interaction with inserters.
Container's often used as a "buffer" - allowing for the storage of excess materials to prevent machines from stalling from over-production but also for the provision of additional materials should those machines stall due to missing materials or loss of power. In the latter case though, note that while Container's don't require power (and nor do Conveyours) all but the most basic Inserters do require power.
