Biobrick's are a craftable fuel source that form the foundation of automated fueling of Mining Drills and Assemblers.
Obtained[]
Unlocking[]
Access to Biobrick requires researching the Biobrick technology (synthesis - PT VICTOR - T2 - Biobrick), costing 15 x Research Core 380nm (Purple).

Usage[]
Biobrick's are, in the early game, predominately used as a solid fuel source for Mining Drill's and Smelters. It has a base Fuel Power of 60, significantly higher than many previous fuel options. This makes it a much more viable fuel for early game automation.
Recipes[]
Biobrick's are a core component of the later Biobrick Diesel fuels.
Upgrades[]
A Biobrick's Fuel Power rating can be upgraded via the BioDense chain of technologies (synthesis - PT VICTOR - T3+ - BioDense). These increase the power rating by a percentage of base. Importantly, this affects Biobrick and all of its descendant fuels i.e. Biobrick Diesel
Notes[]
Immediately outside of the cryogenic chamber starting area, a basic mining and smelting factory can be observed through the glass. This demonstrates the use of parallel belts and Long Inserter for supplying fuel (in the form of Biobrick) to both Drills and Smelters, as well as withdrawing their products. The crates in this area provide a notable amount of Biobrick that can be obtained as soon as the Groundbreaker has unlocked the Mole, which is significantly earlier than the Biobrick technology can be researched.
