Assembler MKII is an improved version of the basic
Assembler, providing double the production output for the same input.
Obtaining[]
A single
Assembler MKII can be found on Level 4 - Hydro, in the research station adjacent to where the scannable
Water Wheel fragments can be found. While the research station has a high entrance cost, this can be skipped by noting the boulder that has broken through it from above. From the entrance door to the station, go around the other side of the station and climb up the rock face. From there, you can drop down into the station and find the assembler in the chest. With its quadruple output compared to handcrafting, this
Assembler MKII can provide a significant boost to early-game production, several tiers earlier than the
Assembler MKII technology can be unlocked.

The fragments to unlock it can be found in Level 8 - Research in the base floor research complex behind a door requiring relay circuits and cooling fans.
